How to Use Link Cloaking Add-On
The Link Cloaking Add-On is primarily used to import affiliate links in an external or affiliate product. It would make the affiliate link look like it comes from your own site for SEO purposes.
How It Works
Using the Link Cloaking Add-On is very simple. You can choose either of the following options:
- Do not cloak links
- Cloak all links present during import
- Only cloak WooCommerce External/Affiliate Product Buy URL
The first option let's you avoid cloaking any links, the second option lets you cloak all links, and the third option lets you only cloak WooCommerce External/Affiliate Product links.
Besides that, you can optionally choose a prefix with up to one slash:
Cloaked links that use the prefix will look like: https://example.com/{prefix}{link_ID}
Cloaked links without any prefix will look like: https://example.com/{link_ID}
If you choose to cloak all links, it will cloak links in the content, excerpt, and custom fields. If you need to cloak links in other fields, a helper function is available. See below.
Import Any CSV, XML, or Excel to WordPress
- Any theme or plugin
- Images u0026 galleries
- Custom fields
- Categories u0026 tags
- Woo, ACF, Meta Box, JetEngine
Using Helper Function
To cloak links selectively, you can use our helper function pmailc_cloak_aff_links. This is how that function would be used:
[pmailc_cloak_aff_links({link[1]})]
Please see:
To use this helper function, you need to have the Link Cloaking Add-On active on your site, along with WP All Import.
