Frequently Asked Questions About Importing Data Into Advanced Custom Fields
How to schedule an ACF import?
You can use our Automatic Scheduling Service, which allows you to schedule your ACF imports directly from our plugin's interface. Alternatively, you can manually create cron jobs on your server.
How to export Advanced Custom Fields?
Go to All Export › New Export and select the post type that contains the Advanced Custom Fields. Configure your export columns using our Drag and Drop interface. Run the export, download your file, and review the file's contents.
What happens when ACF adds a field?
We work with the ACF team to stay aware of any changes to ACF fields or features. We then adjust our plugins accordingly. If you encounter an ACF field that we haven't yet addressed, just contact us, and our support team will sort it out.
Where are Advanced Custom Fields stored?
For posts, ACF data is stored in the post_meta table. For everything else, ACF data is stored in the options table. The best way to access this data is to use ACF's get_field() function, which returns properly formatted values based on the ACF field type.
